About
Meet Michael Khoury
Music has been the foundation of my entire career. I began as a live percussionist, studying Western drumset alongside Latin and Middle Eastern percussion styles. These instruments were never accessories—they were core elements of my performances. Over time, I expanded into melodic performance, studying Oriental Arabic keyboard and quarter‑tone scales, learning melodies and party hits by ear.
That foundation—live rhythm and live melody across Eastern and Western music—naturally led me into DJing. At its core, DJing is about timing, feel, and harmony. Mixing music seamlessly relies on the same principles as playing in a band: staying in time, reading the room, and building energy intentionally.
As my career evolved, I stepped into the role of Event Host and Emcee for weddings and corporate events. Guiding the flow of the night, energizing guests, and taking control of the room became just as important as the music itself.
Live percussion eventually became a signature part of my DJ performances. What started as bongos brought out once the crowd was hooked quickly became a staple. Percussion pairs perfectly with disco, funk, EDM, and ethnic music—creating moments guests never forget.
I’m constantly refining my craft, always looking for new ways to elevate the experience while keeping everything authentic, organic, and intentional.
